Your fuel bill is the biggest line on the rig, and the spreadsheet deciding it is held together with guesswork

Diesel, dual fuel on field gas, highline power. Every vendor quotes savings on a different energy basis, your own numbers never line up, and the one figure you actually need, what each path costs you per day, per well and across the campaign, takes an afternoon to rebuild every time a price moves.

One consistent energy basis

Diesel is quoted on net heat; gas is billed on gross. The planner makes that basis an explicit setting, shows the MMBtu of gas each substituted gallon actually buys, and states the basis on screen and in every export.

Three paths, side by side

Diesel only, dual fuel on gas, grid or highline power. Diesel gallons, gas MMBtu, kWh, cost per day, cost per well and campaign total for each, with one-off costs shown separately and amortised.

The two break-evens that matter

The diesel price at which dual fuel stops paying, and the effective substitution rate you would have to hold to justify it. Both solved from the same identity, so they cross-check each other.

Your numbers, your machine

Every price, burn rate and availability figure is one you enter. The two physical constants, diesel Btu per gallon and the gas gross/net ratio, come pre-filled and you can edit them. No shipped benchmarks to go stale, no account, no upload. It runs offline in the browser and installs to a phone or tablet home screen.

What it does

Enter the rig's diesel burn and hours, your diesel price, and the campaign length in days and wells. Then enter what each alternative needs: substitution rate, gas availability, gas price, conditioning rental and hookup cost for dual fuel; load, power price, demand charge and interconnect cost for grid power. Add your own extra cost lines, such as hauling, standby or a rental, charged to one path only, so no path carries a cost that belongs to another. Every column exports to CSV, with the energy basis recorded alongside the figures that depend on it, plus a printable one-page summary.
